Flowers for Algernon workshop 2:Quiz and IQ tests

1. Do the 10-question quiz .
When completed, submit your answers. If at loss, check the correct answers on the screen.
2. do a research work on the concept of IQ.
Prepare a 15-line project which explains what lies behind "IQ".
Try to find a few examples than you can do on-line. You can have a go at this one . Don't do the whole test, just have a try!

3. In class. Groups of 4. Be ready to debate about the value of IQ tests, their limits, their bad and good sides.
Organize your debate around the following ideas :
What is the average IQ rate?
What does it depend on in your opinion?
What factors beside intelligence may influence the test?
What effect/impact can IQtest results have on self-esteem and self-confidence?
Is our IQ inherited from our parents?
What IQ tests don't take into account?
Would you be ready to take an IQ test which would allow you access to an excellent school for instance?
What if schools relied on IQ tests to accept students?
What does an IQ test lack?
